• Men with obstructive azoospermia ( Obstructive azoospermia is that case where sperms are not present in the ejaculation, resulting female partner cant able to hack the cycle of fertilization)

Working of MESA treatment in India –

MESA is that technique which works well in conditions where sperm are being produced in adequate numbers but are blocked from travelling from the testicle to the ejaculate. In this process, sperms are retrieved by an incision made in scrotal skin, and the testes and epididymis are exposed. Doctor then removes the motile sperms from the epididymides with the help of fine cannula. Operating microscope helps to open single epididymal tubule and from there experts of fertility aspires sperms.  Sperms retrieved from epididymis are more mature than sperms aspired from testicles because in testicles, sperms have had more time to mature. After retrieving the sperms, they are examined by the experts and frozen for the future use for the process of fertilization by IVF or ICSI whichever the experts will recommend to sterile male partner. Generally, MESA treatment in India is preferred with ICSI technique because the sperms, which are aspired from the epididymis, are less motile hence ICSI has more chances to achieve healthy fertilization.
