Most of the international couples travel to Ukraine because there is no such Surrogacy Law in Ukraine for the people who wish to conceive their own baby through surrogacy procedure. The government of Ukraine understands that surrogacy is just a simple fertility treatment for the couple who are not able to conceive naturally because they have some medical issues due to which a woman is unable to carry the pregnancy in her womb and this is the reason that there are no such Surrogacy Legalities in Ukraine. The people from across the globe can visit Ukraine to have their surrogacy without any complications.
There is no such legal policy, however, to run the process smooth the fertility experts in Ukraine ask both the parties to sign a mutual Surrogacy Policy in Ukraine so that by the end of the procedure no one should in unstable condition and this policy states that the surrogate mother will willingly carry the baby in her womb for 9 months and after the baby born she will hand over the baby to his/her intended parents. On the other side, the intended parents need to sign the Surrogacy Policy in Ukraine which states that the intended parents are ready to bear all the expenses for the surrogate mother such as food, accommodation, clothing etc. and they pay her monthly compensation so that she will take her proper care and deliver the healthy baby.
Once the procedure is completed, it’s the responsibility of the intended parents to file a petition in Court for seeking the permission to be a legal parent of the baby born through surrogacy. The Court will review the Surrogacy Policy in Ukraine which both the parties signed before they enter into the surrogacy procedure and after reviewing the Court will order the Department of the Vital Statistics to issue the new birth certificate naming intended parents as a legal parent of the baby born.
