IVF or Test tube baby- What is it and how is it performed?

Different Types of Surrogacy

In the process of gestational surrogacy, first IVF treatment is performed in which the eggs and the sperms of the intended parents are obtained for effectuating fertilization. The resulting embryo is transferred into the uterus of the surrogate mother who then carries the pregnancy to term. She relinquishes any rights on the child upon the delivery and the intended parents are considered as the legal parents of the child.
